Beaufort Irish Festival Vendor Opportunity

VENDOR OPPORTUNITIES

Come join our 5th Annual Beaufort Irish Festival as a vendor, on Feb. 25th, 2012. Our festival will be held at Quality Inn at Beaufort Town Center, Beaufort, SC. We are accepting applications for vendors. It is a great opportunity to display and sell your item.
We have a wide variety of vendors interested and we have indoor and outdoor spaces available. We are renting the spaces out quickly, so if you're interested, please complete Application Form and return it to us as soon as possible.

Please review the Vendor Requirements below for more information. Once your application is received, we will notify you in regards to your participation in the 2012 5th Annual Beaufort Irish Festival. Vendor Fee must be paid no later than Feb. 23rd, 2012. Checks need to be made out to Habitat for Humanity, our recipient of the festival proceeds.

VENDOR REQUIREMENTS

THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT:

Beaufort Irish Festival provides vendor spaces indoors and outdoors. Vendors reserving spaces on the outside will be responsible for providing appropriate protection from the elements.

VENDOR SCHEDULE:

Advertised festival hours are from 11:00am – 4pm. Set- up will be allowed as early as 8:30am.Tables will be labeled with your name on it. We ask that you arrive no later than 10:00am and have displays ready by 11:00am. If space is vacant at 11:00am, we reserve the right to use that space for other purposes. Vendors may not leave booth unattended.

VENDOR PARKING:

There will be an assigned parking area for vendors. You will see it marked, however, if you have any questions re: parking please see the front desk of Quality Inn and they will assist you.

SPACE RENTAL:

• INSIDE : $50.00 fee per space (size of 8 ft table with area behind) • OUTSIDE: $25.00 fee per space

INCLUDED WITH SPACE RENTAL:

In addition to the leased space, the Beaufort Irish Festival will provide two admissions to the festival for you and one assistant; two folding chairs, planned advertising, promotion, and publicity covering the festival; and a listing of vendors in our festival directory and one 8 foot table.

ELECTRICITY:

Inside spaces include electricity. No electricity will be provided for outdoor spaces. Vendors are responsible for providing any electricity with generators if needed in designated outdoor space. You must provide your own extension cords and lights. If for any reason the cord will cross an aisle, it must be taped and covered completely.

VENDOR ITEMS:

For items that are HANDMADE by the vendor, feel free to work on your craft during the festival; it will add interest to the festival and promote your work.

SALES:

Vendors retain all revenue from the sale of their work. Vendors are responsible for all licenses, permits, and taxes related to their sales. For more information please visit the South Carolina Department of Revenue website.

FOOD VENDORS:

Food vendors must meet D-HEC requirements to be a vendor.

FESTIVAL REGULATIONS:

No smoking, glass containers, drugs, weapons, or radio playing permitted.

HELPERS:

You may bring one person to assist you, free of charge. Any additional helpers must pay admission to the festival.

COURTESY:

Arts and crafts vendors MUST stay within their designated space markers. Small children must be attended at all times, for their safety, as well as out of respect for the property of other vendors. The Beaufort Irish Festival does not provide childcare. Vendors are responsible for cleaning and disposal of all trash from their area.

APPLICATION AND FEES:

The Beaufort Irish Festival reserves the right to limit the number of vendors per category. Exclusivity of items is not guaranteed. If your application to the festival is accepted, you must send a check for payment of all fees by no later than Feb 23, 2012. CHECK POLICY:

Checks need to be made payable to Habitat for Humanity our 2012 beneficiary for the festival proceeds. Habitat for Humanity is a 501(c)3 local non-profit charity. There is a $15.00 fee for returned checks.
